Non-Profit (Tier 1):
Organizations whose primary function is to serve the local geographical area, without a national focus, sanctioned by the IRS, those with applications pending and those whose purpose is other than creating income or profit for its owners or directors that serve Washington, DC. Foundations or other organizations that generate funds that are dispersed to other DC metro non-profit organizations will be considered non-profit. Includes all student and alumni groups.
Non-Profit (Tier 2):
All politicians/individuals with a legislative agenda that are or will be running for political office. Any city, state and federal governmental agencies and departments. Includes all Federal agencies and educational institutions. Also includes non-profit organizations with a national focus.
For-Profit (Tier 3):
Includes all businesses located within 60 miles of the Washington, DC metro area that are NOT part of a national corporation or franchise operation. Also includes groups that are representing an association within a larger corporation.
For-Profit (Tier 4):
Corporations and franchise businesses, includes all businesses outside the 60 mile radius of Washington, DC. Also includes consultants, professional firms and agencies.
